Lamp offering on Vesak Day
Lamp Offering is a favourite activity in our Centres. Lighting of lamp is always regarded as a virtuous act in radiating positive energy and hope in our life. By making Lamp Offering, we are dispelling the darkness of ignorance and be the light of wisdom that guides us through the path to liberation. Light a lamp in this coming Vesak and receive enormous blessings and accrue boundless merits, understanding the Dharma and the world of depending arising and impermanent.
Our seeing of the world will change, transforming from the ordinary visions to pure vision with the eyes of wisdom. Like a bright flickering light in the dark stormy ocean of Samsara, traversing these huge waves of suffering, comprehending clearly what is right and wrong, distinguishing white dharma from black dharmas, thus becoming a suitable vessel for the accumulations of virtues.
This light is the light of the two accumulations, conditioned with the right motivation and a sincere heart, acting with diligent and discipline will reap the fruit of abundance in physical and spiritual wealth in this life and maintaining existences in the light realms of gods and men, finally reaching the far shores of liberation.
